Welcome to one writer's blog!

She is also a Mayflower descendant. Women and their perspectives flavor her writing. The fact that 17th Century women of the Mayflower were expected to follow their men without question into an unknown land stirred her to do careful research, and create the historical fiction, “A Civil Body”
Born at Marine Camp Lejeune, both of her parents were Marine Corps officers. Raised in New England’s harsh climate she was enchanted early on by sailing, boats, the ocean and adventure. She has traveled extensively for research, and adventured to The Bahamas, Alaska's Aleutians and north slope, Europe, China, and east Africa. She spent 25 years as an emergency room RN, before becoming a physician assistant. Her work in remote areas of Alaska, intimate knowledge of the ocean, and extensive travel gives a unique insight into the difficulties faced by the first comers to these shores.
